Abstract

Exploration of chaos and order working with first-time none-professional actors on a film experiment based on a living script.

The abstract narrative will be a mix of fictional and none-fictional scenes using natural environments as stage as well as purposely staged sceneries.

The living script starts as a skeleton structure that volunteer actors will be completing through their participation on several acting classes that I will be running over the next 6 months.

Various inspirational pools will generate the acting class course content, which initially will be functioning as the skeleton structure for the living script:

  • Researched subjects eg. Chaos, acting techniques, performance, film

  • Coincidental issues eg. Dream logs, randomly found objects, actors interactions, T-shirt messages

The acting classes will be partly recorded to monitor, improve and interact with the performance during a session and furthermore to generate footage for the final film.

Each session will contribute to the final result, as all recordings will go through an immediate editing phase to explore the potential of each take and to influence the skeleton script for the upcoming acting classes.

Technically this workflow could be repeated until the final product is finished.

Nevertheless I am expecting coincidence and destiny to affect the outlined strategic plan and to form new and unforeseen directions.

Possible final product: Short movie, episode based narrative, abstract artistic video collage

Duration: March – November 2010
